Yes, all incoming calls in Thailand are FREE! Unlike using your current mobile service provider that charges a premium 'Roaming' fee for recieving calls in another country - your incoming calls are all FREE no matter where they originate. Your Thailand SIM cards balance is never charged for incoming calls. The only time you are charged for calls using your Thailand SIM is when making outgoing calls. Even then, the rates you pay are a fraction of the 'Roaming' fees charged by mobile carriers outside of Thailand.
Thailand SIM cards will work in every mobile phone that accepts SIM cards, as long as the phone is unlocked. To check to see if you mobile phone is unlocked, simply replace the SIM card in your phone with a different carriers SIM in your home country. If it works, then your phone is unlocked. If it doesn't work - don't worry. You can unlock your mobile phone by calling your current carrier and requesting your phone be unlocked or visit an independent mobile phone shop that will unlock your phone for approximately $5 - $10.
To place a call outside of Thailand press the + button, then the country code of the country you are calling, then the number you wish to call. It's that easy! If you are unsure how to dial the + symbol, check your phones user manual.
